Here you will find a short version of the hotel's history
Bø Hotell was built 1969/1970, and was done December 1. 1970 with 28 rooms, some meeting rooms, dininroom and a lounge.
The idea behind Bø Hotel was to build a conference hotel with the eastern part of Norway as the market. Beeng so close to the railway was imporant, as were the plans for a district college in Bø.
The first couple who ran the hotel, Lasse and Birgit Solbakken, filled out their roles as drivers in a very good way with eastern Norway as a market.
This led to the continual need for the hotel to expand its capacity and offerings.
